Vice District Governor:Lion John ManningLion John A. Manning was elected Vice District Governor at the Sub District Convention in April, 2007. Vice District Manning joined the Port Charlotte Lions Club in 2001 and has maintained perfect attendance since being inducted. Lion John served two terms as club president, club bulletin editor and on many other club committees. Lion John was named Lion of the Year by his club in 2003. Lion John served his district as Zone Chair and on the committee of the Edison Festival of Lights Parade. He has served as Credentials/Elections chair for District 35-I and as Campaign SightFirst II district Co-Coordinator. Vice District Governor Manning is a native of Brooklyn, New York having moved to Florida in 2000 after retiring from the Social Security Administration as computer programmer. Lion John works with Meals-on-Wheels and is active in his community Lion John is a Melvin Jones Fellow and resides in Port Charlotte, Florida. |
